About this Onsite Workshop

Immerse yourself in the dynamic world of Street Art with this hands-on workshop designed to inspire and empower educators. Dive into the question“What is art, and what is damage?” as a springboard for creative exploration and critical thinking.

The morning session showcases two real-world examples of inquiry-based Street Art programs led by Dee Zabel, tailored to both primary and secondary schools.

In the afternoon, roll up your sleeves and master a variety of Street Art techniques as you design and decorate your own wooden skateboard deck! These skills are not only fun but also highly engaging, offering a new way to captivate your students and bring contemporary artists into your art program.

Techniques covered include: spray painting, stenciling, using paint markers.
(There will also be alternative, non-aerosol methods & mediums explored to engage all student levels and accessibility)
