About this Onsite Workshop
This workshop is designed to provide art and classroom teachers with the opportunity to both learn and practice essential art processes and techniques. This workshop explores key art principles and elements such as line, shape, texture, colour, and composition, using a playful and hands-on approach. The activities draw on both Australian and international artists for inspiration, helping teachers explore new ways to engage their students while teaching fundamental art concepts. Throughout the session, participants will gain practical skills that can be applied directly to their own classrooms.
Teachers will practice a variety of art techniques, including monoprinting, embroidery, stamping, and colour mixing. In addition to learning new creative processes, the workshop will also cover art room management, effective teaching strategies, and tips for creating an inclusive environment for diverse learners.
